The veteran ladies of metal, Kittie, are taking a trip this summer. Making stops all over the U.S., including the infamous “Gathering Of Juggalos” festival. Kittie will be headlining shows for a month and a half beginning August 11th in with ICP at the GOJ fest. Dirge Within and Diamond Plate have been tapped to support.

Dramatic hard rock band Skillet will be featured on Warner Bros Records release of the soundtrack to Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon, the third installment of the Oscar®-nominated Transformers series of summer blockbusters. The track that will be contributed, “Awake & Alive,” is the band’s first #1 hit on the Active Rock chart, and the first in the history of the chart to feature female vocals.

Suck It and See, the title of the Artic Monkeys’ new album, has been determined to be unacceptable for display in some U.S. Supermarkets. It will consequently be sold with a sticker over the title on the front of the album, although the title will still be visible on the side.

According to NME.com, Slash has started working on his follow-up to his 2010 debut solo album entitled Slash. In a recent chat with Planet Rock Radio, the former Guns N’ Roses axe-man said that he would again work with Myles Kennedy, the singer of hard rock stalwarts Alter Bridge, but in a larger capacity.
