Skillet Awake
Dramatic hard rock band Skillet will be featured on Warner Bros Records release of the soundtrack to Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon, the third installment of the Oscar®-nominated Transformers series of summer blockbusters. The track that will be contributed, “Awake & Alive,” is the band’s first #1 hit on the Active Rock chart, and the first in the history of the chart to feature female vocals.
“I am a junkie for these kind of movies so to have ‘Awake & Alive’ included on the Transformers: Dark of the Moon album is one of the coolest things that we could have happen,” Skillet frontman John Cooper gushed. “I’ll be one of the first in line to see the film when it hits theaters this summer.”
Skillet keep piling up more recognitions of their efforts, with their first Billboard Music Award, which recognizes the success of their most recent album, Awake
