Rick Landers, Guitar International’s publisher has announced the release of his first children’s book in a series called, “The Adventures of Digit & Tess”, now available in print as a paperback, as well as an eBook. The series is about a young Canadian girl named, Tess Hopper, and her companion an AI-robotic cat, Digit. The two have a few challenges, but by the end of the book, and their first adventure to Niagara Falls, they become friends.

Guitar International’s publisher and editor, Rick Landers, and his band Heartland, will be featured on stage and on-line in the number one ranked county in the U.S, Loudoun County, Virginia, and at the county’s premier venue, the Franklin Park Arts Center.

You’ve got to hand it to Ben Brookes Belcher, the man works hard rolling out some of the coolest country songs we’ve heard in a long time. Belcher nails down some fancy guitar licks while singing a mix of gritty hard tack down home spins to some of the sweetest heart wrenching ballads.

Guitar International’s publisher and award winning songwriter, Rick Landers, will perform with Jeff Smith and Dave “Kawika” Fiely on Saturday, February 5, 2002, on Facebook Live’s Diversionary Tactics Show. The three award winning songwriters decided to join forcers for an evening of original songs, with each of them offering up their unique styles.

For a few years, guitarist extraordinaire, Yasmin Williams, caused some groundswell buzz wherever and whenever she performed in her local DC-MD-VA area, and when she’d won some awards from the Songwriters’ of Washington for her compositions and recordings. And to many it seemed, it was only a matter of time before others would “discover” her as a talent of grand proportion.

Recently, Rick heard about the 80 person capacity Blue Wing Frog restaurant in Front Royal, Virginia whose owners wanted musicians who wrote and performed their own songs. Some traditional-roots songs were cool too, given the Piedmont location, as well as the historical local culture of grassroots music was the music of the region.

The Six Strings of Separation idea proved doable, safe and one that we could all look forward to repeating in the future. Our successful Blue Melody Sessions house concerts simply shape-shifted to accommodate the needs of a world being negatively manipulated by the realities of COVID-19.
