Hailing from Pittsburgh, PA, Jesse was first introduced to music when he took elementary guitar and theory courses during his Freshman and Sophomore years at Las Vegas High School. He then went on to teach professionally for years before returning to school to earn degrees in guitar performance.
He graduated from Quincy University in Quincy, Illinois as their first ever Guitar Performance major, and one month after graduation, he became Quincy University’s Director of Guitar Studies. He is now a Graduate Assistant at Western Illinois University earning a Master’s in Guitar Performance, studying with Matthew Warnock, as well as teaching at several regional colleges and universities.
Jesse has played in a wide variety of ensembles including metal, jazz, classical, rock, country, and fusion. He currently plays in the WIU Guitar Ensemble, with the Ben Bumbry and the Messengers Jazz Group, and is the frontman of the politically-charged Prog-metal band, Ushers to the Apocalypse.
