According to Atlantic Records, the legendary rock band RUSH have announced details for the first offerings through their recently announced partnership with Roadrunner Records. On November 8, Anthem/Roadrunner will simultaneously release a two disc live album entitled Time Machine 2011: Live in Cleveland as well as Moving Pictures: Live 2011, on vinyl and digital formats.

Guitar International Editor in Chief Matthew Warnock is in the studio this week recording an album with the Manchester based singer-songwriter m’goo. The band is recording in a studio in Belo Horizonte, Brazil with some amazing musicians, including drummer Hugo Soares and lead guitarist Leandro Martins.
Reviver Music’s David Ross/CEO of the label, Dennis D’Amico/Executive Producer and William Cutts/CCO are undertaking not only a live concert benefit for The Women and Cancer Fund, Monday, November 7th at the Ryman Auditorium but on the following day, Tuesday, November 8th, a CD released, distributed by BDG. BDG is distributed by RED Distribution LLC and will make sure the album is in as many brick and mortar outlets nationwide as possible. Entitled, “Let Us In Nashville – A Tribute To Linda McCartney” the album will also be available via a series of digital outlets.
Groove metal maestros Mastodon and mathcore nuts Dillinger Escape Plan have announced that they are teaming up for a tour this fall/winter, with heavy metallers Red Fang providing opening support. Dillinger is still touring behind their 2009 coup de grace Option Paralysis, and Mastodon will be playing the hell out of their new album, The Hunter, which is due out later this month.
Mike Portnoy, the former drummer of prog-metal giants Dream Theater, has delivered some biting criticism of the band’s new album, A Dramatic Turn Of Events, in the forums of his own website, suggesting the new songs are “ desperate attempts of secretly re-writing the past.”

Both James Hetfield of Metallica and Lou Reed recently spoke with NME Magazine about their upcoming collaboration, an album entitled Lulu. The album was originally supposed to be a solo project for Reed, inspired by and based on German expressionist playwright Frank Wedekind’s play chronicling the trials of a dancer who is abused.
New details have surfaced regarding British pop/rock giants Coldplay’s upcoming album Mylo Xyloto. On the band’s official blog, a roadie described two new songs that will appear on the Brian Eno-produced album, which is due out on October 24th.
