Guitar International Editor in Chief Matthew Warnock is in the studio this week recording an album with the Manchester based singer-songwriter m’goo. The band is recording in a studio in Belo Horizonte, Brazil with some amazing musicians, including drummer Hugo Soares and lead guitarist Leandro Martins.
You can follow Matt’s adventures with the project on Michael Meighu’s blog, the man behind the project. As well, here are a couple videos from the studio sessions this week.
The first is of drummer Hugo Soares laying down a take on the song “Everybody Needs a Louis,” while the second is Leandro playing along to his solo on the song “Space,” which he recorded on two different guitars so he’s “guitar synching” along to the recording from memory.
The third video is the first take of Leandro’s solo on the song “Caffeine,” amazing stuff for the first time he heard the song and played that solo on the spot!
