The “Bitch Is Back” – Lita Ford the original Queen of Metal is back and working hard to make up for lost time of living on a deserted island for 15 years. Yes, you read that correct, Lita and her now ex-husband with their two sons lived on a secluded island for 15 years with almost no connection to civilization!

Back in the ’70s Kelakos rocked and moved in circles where they played road houses and other spots, creating their own scene and trying to work their way to stardom. The group’s name resonates, but is undefined, unless one knows the background.

Kicking off on Friday, October 30 in Norfolk, CT, The Yardbirds – founding member and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Jim McCarty, renowned guitarist Johnny A (Peter Wolf, Bobby Whitlock), bassist Kenny Aaronson (Bob Dylan, Billy Idol), singer/blues harpist/percussionist Myke Scavone (Ram Jam & Doughboys), and guitarist/singer John Idan – will tour throughout October and November.

On a darkened airport runway in the middle of an open field, Don Felder and crew hit the stage around 8:00 p.m. Felder was decked out in white and a standout plaid vest, looking Cali-tanned and relaxed. With a cherry sunburst Les Paul in hand, he opened the show with “Already Gone”, from the Eagles’ On the Border album, then cranked out a flawless 75-minute set of Eagle’s hits.

This week Cleveland will host Les Paul – The Tour with free local entertainment each day, an exclusive look inside the world of Les Paul and the opportunity to interact with the state-of-the-art technology produced aboard the mobile touring vehicle for all to enjoy. The tour and experience is free as is all of the local entertainment and bands scheduled to perform. It’s all part of the 100th Anniversary Celebration of Les Paul.

One of my few regrets in life was never getting to see Frank DiMino and his ’70s hard rock band Angel play live with their extravagant costumes and visual illusions. I was just a few years shy of being able to see them in their heyday of the mid to late ’70s. By the time I did started attending concerts, they had broken up and disappeared in a cloud of smoke like one of their illusions.
