Music legends, Eddie Van Halen and LL COOL J, have teamed up for two songs on LL’s upcoming new album, Authentic, set to release on April 30th. The rock icon joined the legendary rapper in the studio and kicked the volume up to create two genre defying songs on LL’s powerful new album.

This exercise is based on a jazz standard written in 1939 by Oscar Hammerstein and Jerome Kern called “All The Things You Are.” I’ve singled out the chord changes, without melody, and stocked them with various melodic arpeggio patterns using all the CAGED chord shapes.
