Guitar Mash, a multi-platform initiative to bring players of varying backgrounds together, shows the many sides of the ubiquitous instrument. By kicking off with a big, open jam, the star-studded project will get guitarists of all levels, ages, and backgrounds actively participating. From metal shredders to acoustic aficionados, from novices to pros, Guitar Mash aims to unite players online and off, including via Facebook and Twitter (@GuitarMashNYC).

Last night, I made my way to the National Guitar Museum’s traveling exhibit newly stationed at The Science Museum of Virginia, Richmond, Virginia, and scheduled to be open to the public from Saturday, October 13 to January 1, 2013.

“One Night One Show One Cause Benefit” is the flagship benefit concert of PRS Guitars. Since 2000, PRS Guitars has raised over $2 million for the Living with Cancer Resource Program at the Johns Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center.
