Paul Reed Smith Guitars started Experience PRS four years ago in order to gather together the company’s distributors, dealers, the media and PRS Guitars enthusiasts. The first year’s event drew an impressive 700 participants, as well as a group of Paul Reed Smith Guitars celebrity endorsees.
During weekend of September 23rd-25th, 2010, Guitar International Editor, Dr. Matt Warnock, and Publisher, Rick Landers, made the trek to Stevensville, Maryland to hang with some of the best guitarists and guitar makers on the planet. Given full-access passes, the G.I. team was able to try out all of the new PRS guitars and amp that the company rolled out, as well as get some shoulder time with PRS artists including Orianthi and Ricky Scaggs, as well as exclusive interviews with PRS President Jack Higgenbottom and the man himself, Paul Reed Smith.
Taylor Guitars has announced that the company will once again bring its fan-favorite Road Show to guitar lovers across the country this fall at over 100 in-store locations in North America.
I’m going to start this review with a generalization; I think that a guitarist never thinks his “tone” is good enough unless he feels happy about the gear he is using.
It seems everyday there is a new guitar gadget coming out promising to improve tone or employing “space-age technologies” to revolutionize the instrument.
This fantasy comes to life each year at Heritage Guitar Inc. located at 225 Parsons Street, Kalamazoo Michigan.
