The Liz Barak’s Project is a project meant to empower women in music worldwide. It was created by music producer Liz Barak alongside the book ‘Ballad to the North Wind’ with covers of songs mentioned in the book, however, fairly quickly it had received an independent life of its own. The project is constructed from collaborations between female musicians in the majority and its purpose is raising awareness of equality for women in music around the world. The project was done pro-bono by all participants and its revenues are donated to the fight in Global Warming.

“Layla” is the Projects’ first single.

The participants in “Layla” are: Nili Brosh (USA), Erja Lyytinen (Finland), Eliana Cargnelutti (Italy), Eva Kourtes (Australia), Helen Ibe (Nigeria), Loli Molina (Argentina), Shani Kimelman (USA/Israel), Claire Genoud (Switzerland), Martina Elettra Rover (Italy), Liz Barak (Israel), Hadas Trainin (Israel), Einat Harel (Israel), Kata Kozma (Hungary) and Amy Owen (UK). Liz  handled the arrangement, production and the mix for the project.
