Metal giants, and part of the Big Four, Anthrax, will be releasing their latest, Worship Music, on September 12th in Europe (via Nuclear Blast Records) and September 13th in North America (via Megaforce Records), according to the folks over at Blabbermouth.net.

Drummer Chris Benante recently spoke to Revolvermagazine.com about the trials of recording Worship Music: “I think this record is more of a celebration for us. We haven’t had a new record since 2003. The ups and downs in between really reflect the mood of this record. There is a lot of aggression, emotion and power. I feel like this is once again back to our New York style and attitude.”

Worship Music is also the group’s first record with vocalist Joey Belladonna in twenty years, after scrapping some work with singer Dan Nelson.

“Some of the songs we tweaked, some of the songs we did more than tweak,” Benante said. “Some we started from scratch, and some were written just for this album.”
