Guitarist Bugs Henderson Supports the Make-A-Wish Foundation

by Staff

Guitar International caught up with Bugs Henderson at the 2009 Experience PRS trade show in Stevensville, Maryland. While we were asking celebrity artists to promote charities of their choice, Bugs chose the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Bugs Henderson is generally known for his blues guitar playing, but when he got on the stage that day, he was rockin’. He’s one of the most respected guitarists around and Guitar Player magazine once highlighted his music legacy by saying, “Bugs Henderson should be declared a national treasure.”

Established in 1980, the Make-A-Wish Foundation now has nearly 25,000 volunteers around the country to serve children with life-threatening medical conditions. The volunteers serve as wish granters, fundraisers, special events assistants and in many more helpful capacities.

We ask that our readers honor Bugs Henderson’s request to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation to make a child’s wish come true.
