GWS Auctions, the world recording breaking royal auction house specializing in entertainment and music memorabilia sold a rare, historical guitar played by Jimi Hendrix for $216,000 at the Artifacts of Hollywood & Music Auction.

In 2001, following the release of Parachutes, the band were nominated for five BRIT Awards, winning both Best British Album and Best British Group. The band have gone on to win Best British Album three times and Best British Group four times, alongside a host of other awards.

The Liz Barak’s Project is a project meant to empower women in music worldwide. It was created by music producer Liz Barak alongside the book ‘Ballad to the North Wind’ with covers of songs mentioned in the book, however, fairly quickly it had received an independent life of its own.
