Conqueroo recently announced that legendary songwriter, Carole King ,will release reissues of four classic albums — Pearls: Songs of Goffin and King (1980), Touch the Sky (1979), Welcome Home (1978), and Simple Things (1977) — on February 28 via her own Rockingale Records label and Concord Music Group. Each includes the original photography and album notes and, aside from Pearls, has never been previously released on CD in the United States.

Multi-platinum guitarist Kenny Olson has announced the upcoming release of his long-awaited, debut solo album “Kenny Olson Cartel” on February 7th through Foxy Music/Firebird. While Olson may be best known as Kid Rock’s 11-year axeman and founding member of his Twisted Brown Trucker Band, music fans around the globe are soon going to know him by the music of his ground-breaking, genre-bending rock band, Kenny Olson Cartel.

The Nominations for the 84th Academy Awards® were announced this morning, Tuesday, January 24th. A wonderful surprise this year came in the nominations for Best Original Score, with legendary film composer, and winner of five previous Academy Awards®, John Williams, receiving two nomination nods this year for his two, motion picture collaborations with Director Steven Spielberg.
