Paul Reed Smith’s TEDxMidAtlantic Talk is now available for public viewing on YouTube. Paul, PRS Guitars working founder and Managing General Partner, presented his TEDx Talk entitled “Changing Your View of Musical Instruments” to a sold out Washington DC crowd on October 25, 2013.

Paul Reed Smith Guitars would like to congratulate Carlos Santana, a PRS Signature Artist, as one of the five recipients to be honored at the 36th Annual National Celebration of the Arts. Other honorees selected are: opera singer Martina Arroyo; pianist, keyboardist, bandleader and composer, Herbie Hancock; pianist, singer and songwriter, Billy Joel; and actress Shirley MacLaine.

On October 7th, The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York accepted a Paul Reed Smith electric guitar into its permanent collection. The presentation, a gift from Warren and Kateryna Esanu, included a public performance and demonstration of the guitar by PRS Artist and world-renowned guitarist John McLaughlin.

On Tuesday, October 1, 2013, Hard Rock officially celebrated the Grand Reopening of its newly renovated Baltimore location by partnering with Paul Reed Smith Guitars [PRS Guitars], a Maryland-based guitar manufacturer, to donate 16 new PRS SE Angelus acoustic guitars to Baltimore’s Frederick Douglass High School’s music department.

Experience PRS, now in its seventh year, has become a significant part of MI calendars and PRS history. Each year, PRS opens its doors and creates an exciting and interactive schedule, including free-flowing factory tours, interactive guitar making (hosted by the PRS Private Stock team), artist clinics, recording demonstrations, and evening concerts.

Since 2007, Paul Reed Smith Guitars has hosted the Experience PRS trade show, complete with their latest guitar models and more recently their line-up of high quality amps. Under the big tent, in office spaces and over cups of coffee, deals are made between the company and its dealers and distributors.
