Legendary folk singer-songwriter Jesse Colin Young announces the first digital re-release single “Fire on the Water,” off his 1982 solo album The Perfect Stranger. “Fire On The Water” features an epic collaboration with Michael McDonald (The Doobie Brothers, Steely Dan).

Recently, Gruene Guitars shipped Guitar International one of its newer dreadnaughts for review, a prototype D-18 model named a “Saratoga”. Upon arrival I let it acclimate to its new surroundings, after its flight from San Antonio, Texas, the headquarters of the guitar company.

The National GUITAR Museum announced that Tommy Emmanuel, one of the most revered guitarists to ever pick up the instrument, will receive its annual “Lifetime Achievement” Award for 2023. Emmanuel is the fourteenth recipient of the award.

In celebration of the 50th anniversary, Jesse Colin Young has announced a fully remastered release of one of his most iconic albums, Song for Juli, due out on September 15. In light of his passing, the iconic bluegrass guitarist ,Tony Rice, continues to make headlines. Paying homage to the Virginia-born guitar legend was flat-picking sensation Billy Strings.
