As we were entered the 2011 NAMM show one of the first booths we visited was the ever popular Ibanez exhibit. We found some great guitars, especially the Steve Vai, Joe Satrianni and Paul Gilbert Models. Below are some quick pics of some of the cool Ibanez guitars from this year’s show.

If NAMM Show attendees thought that they’d be able to walk into the Marriot Hotel lobby after a long day on the showroom floor and relax with a cold drink and some quiet music, they were sorely mistaken. Taking to the Hotel’s center stage at 6pm, just as the first day’s exhibits closed, the Alex Skolnick Trio cranked it to 11 and rocked the crowd with their unique blend of rock, metal and jazz as only they can.

Guitar International dropped by the Asterope Cable booth and met with Dean Kline, the Vice-President of Communications for the company. Here’s what Dean had to say about the intriguing new technology used to expand the dynamic range of the company’s cables.

When we stopped by the Martin Guitar Company exhibit, we re-introduced ourselves to Dick Boak, Director of Martin Guitar Artist and Limited Editions, who was surrounded by some of the best guitars on the planet. Dick’s always enthusiastic about the company’s guitars, but today he seemed especially proud of one guitar on display, and he offered up some background comments on this magnificent piece of world-class craftsmanship.

Dean Guitars and the John Entwistle estate will be unveiling two models of the new John Entwistle bass line at the 2011 Winter Namm show in Anaheim, California January 13th through 16th.

DBZ Guitars announces a new breakthrough in guitar neck design. Unveiling of DBZ’s cutting edge new necks, called the Dean B Zelinsky “Z-Glide” Reduced Friction Neck (patent pending) will take place at the 2011 NAMM show January 13 in Anaheim, California.

Albion Amplification is a new venture between International Audio Group and Steve Grindrod. Based in Huntingdon, England, International Audio Group is a manufacturer of consumer electronics, professional audio and lighting products.
