Let’s say that most of us don’t have three hours a day to practice (I’m sure I would much rather be doing that than most anything else!). There are times when there’s just not enough time to devote to physical practice. In this series of articles I will discuss different ways of musical practice that don’t have to be done at home or in a studio.
Cry Tough is the latest DVD release by Nils Lofgren and is a collection of performances he did for the famous Rockpalast TV series. This DVD features live full length performances which span three different phases in this illustrious and dynamic career.

In the company video below, the Eastwood Doral guitar is described as an “L5 with a few differences.” Now that’s a pretty bold statement for any guitar company to make, especially one who’s comparable guitar comes in at around 1/4 of the price of a low-end L5. At 32.5 cm. (usual) string length, the violin tunes its strings an octave higher than the guitar. Antonio de Torres eventually settled on 32.5 X 2 = 65 cm for the guitar’s string length. Modern guitars range from 64 to a 66.6 or even 67 cm string length, but the 65 cm established by Torres is a often used as the standard scale length.
