Brian Johnson takes a tour of some of L.A.’s most iconic music landmarks with acclaimed solo artist and Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh on an all-new episode of AXS TV’s globetrotting music series Brian Johnson’s A Life On The Road—airing Sunday, November 3 at 9pE/6pP.
In this exclusive first-look, Joe Walsh discusses the tremendous success of his enduring hit single “Rocky Mountain Way,” which was instrumental in cementing his place in rock superstardom. “I knew it was a good song,” Walsh explains. “You can feel it, ya know. People feel it, and they remember where they were the first time they heard it. That’s the connect that makes things special, and we chase it. We just plain chase it.”
As the pair cruises down the streets of Los Angeles, Walsh reflects on his early days as a young artist coming up in the vibrant Southern California music scene—a scene that left a lasting impact on Walsh’s life and career, and led to the creation of some of the most influential bands of all time.
“This whole Southern California community of artists—before anybody made it—was full of creative energy,” Walsh continues. “A bunch of groups came out of that… and one of ‘em was The Eagles. That was guys who got focused during a very artistically creative environment and period. You can’t make that. That just happens.” Check it out here.
