Back by player demand, the award-winning Taylor Guitars Road Show is returning to dealers around the globe. The fun and informative in-store event gives fans the opportunity to connect with Taylor factory staff, play exceptional one-off guitars, and meet like-minded players. The “hangout” sessions bring Taylor players the latest developments from the company, including the newest and yet-to-be-released Taylor models.
Now in its sixth year, the Road Show features a format in which Taylor’s product experts share insights on the company’s guitar-making process, explain innovative designs such as the Expression System™ acoustic pickup, and demonstrate how different body shapes and woods affect tone. After each demonstration, guests are invited to take part in the “Petting Zoo”: a hands-on playing session during which they get to test-drive a variety of different models. Admission to each Road Show is free.
The 2012 Road Show tour will start on March 26 in Munich, Germany, with shows scheduled across Europe, the United States and Canada, with over 130 dates and locations announced through June. Additional international and domestic dates will be announced in the weeks to come.
In 2011, Taylor brought the Road Show to over 200 stores in the United States and Canada, and held another 60 events throughout Europe. Asia and Australia. The Road Show was awarded the 2008 Supplier Excellence Award from Music Inc. magazine in the category of Events for putting “the excitement of the company’s factory tours into retail dealers across the country.” For more information on Road Show dates and locations, please visit the official Taylor Guitars Road Show calendar at http://www.taylorguitars.com/events/road-show
