Rolling Stones fans, rejoice! The Stones just released a double DVD set of their historic Ed Sullivan Show appearances, creatively entitled Four Ed Sullivan Shows starring The Rolling Stones. According to a press release, the package will include the following performances:

On May 2nd, 1965, the Stones hit the US national stage on the Ed Sullivan show to play their Top 10 hit “The Last Time,” a cover of classic bluesman Willie Dixon’s “Little Red Rooser,” and their version of Solomon Burke’s “Everybody Needs Somebody To Love.” Jagger and company then closed the show out with “2120 South Michigan Avenue,” an instrumental homage to Chess Records that they very rarely performed.

Returning to the show on February 13th, 1966, The Rolling Stones played their instant classic hit, “(I Can’t Get No) Satisfaction” followed by a touching duet version of “As Tears Go By” with Jagger being backed by only Kieth Richards on acoustic guitar. They ended this appearance with their brand new hit, the feverish “19th Nervous Breakdown.”

Back again in September of 1966, the Stones started off with “Paint It, Black” featuring Brian Jones on sitar. Jones then switched to dulcimer for “Lady Jane” followed by a great performance of their smash Top 10 hit “Have You Seen Your Mother, Baby, Standing In The Shadows?”

On January 15th, 1967, The Rolling Stones made their last appearance on the Ed Sullivan Show with founding guitarist Brian Jones, playing the chart-topping “Ruby Tuesday” followed by “Let’s Spend The Night Together” with the lyrics infamously changed by CBS’s standards and practices department to “Let’s Spend Some Time Together.” Watch out for Mich Jagger’s exaggerated eye roll at the camera during the chorus, letting everyone at home know that he’s aware of the absurdity of the unnecessary censorship.

The set will also include Tom Jones’ “Watcha Gonna Do When Your Baby Leaves You,” a Louis Armstrong performance of “Cabaret,” and “Elusive Butterfly” and “Color My World” sung by Petula Clark.

The deluxe version of the DVD set, entitled Six Ed Sullivan Shows starring The Rolling Stones (DELUXE EDITION), is will be available starting November 1st and will include The Stones’ first and last appearances on the show in addition to the four from the previous DVD set. Check out the trailer below.

The Rolling Stones’ first Ed Sullivan Show (October 25th, 1964) really showcases the excitement of their rabid American fans, who can be heard prominently throughout their performance of “Time Is On My Side.” Their last appearance happened in late 1969 and featured new guitarist Mick Taylor, the replacement for Brian Jones, who had just left the band. The band played “Gimme Shelter,” a cover version of Robert Johnson’s “Love In Vain,” and their current hit, “Honky Tonk Woman.”
