Rudy’s Music Stop, New York’s legendary retail fixture, is the holy grail of music stores, so who better for high-quality guitar manufacturer, Paul Reed Smith Guitars, to team up with? According to a press release, the two musical instrument mainstays are pleased to announce that Rudy’s will host the New York version of Experience PRS at its new Soho location on November 17-18 (Thurs and Fri). Rudy’s will transform into a guitar enthusiast’s promised land from 11am to 10pm EST each day. Founder Paul Reed Smith, PRS Amp Designer Doug Sewell, some PRS endorsing artists and PRS gearheads will be on site to perform, demo PRS products, answer any and all questions, and give tips for easy repair and setup of PRS guitars.

Paul himself will be introducing innovative new acoustic and electric guitars to the public, and with the help of PRS Amp Designer Doug Sewell, he will also show the world the new line of PRS amps, both boutique and standard lines. The PRS team are also bringing along materials from the Private Stock Vault, so people can pick and choose what woods they want to be in a Private Stock guitar built custom for them. Also, as a “thank you” to PRS owners, customers can bring their PRS guitar in to Rudy’s during the two day event and have PRS Tech Center employee set it up for free.

Each night from 7 to 9 pm, Rudy’s in Soho will turn into a rock show, with select PRS artists performing live on stage. The artists will also be on hand during the day to answer any questions and to demo their guitars. The full schedule will be released at a later date and will detail which artists will be on site and when.

Paul Reed Smith is excited about the possibilities of an additional Experience PRS event at Rudy’s. “We are thrilled that such a legendary establishment as Rudy’s Music has asked to host Experience PRS. Their new Soho location is amazing and a great showplace for PRS products,” he said. “We consider this event a platform not only to educate the public about our brand but a platform to say thank you.”

Owner of Rudy’s Music, Rudy Pensa seemed similarly positive. “It is always a great time when we partner with Paul Reed Smith for special events. Not only does PRS pull out all the stops, the artists involved and the special demonstrations make it a unique and memorable experience for all our customers” he gushed. “It’s going to be a tremendous couple of days.”

Rudy’s Music Soho is located at 461 Broome Street, New York, New York 10013. For more information go to www.rudysmusic.com.
