Green Day surprised fans last night by playing 15+ brand new songs at a show in Costa Mesa, California, according to fan site GreenDayAuthority.com.

The crowd at Tiki Bar 1700 Placentia was treated to a monster 27-song set, detailed below, which also included a cover of “Goodbye to Romance” by Ozzy Osbourne and a “cover” of Green Day’s alter-ego band, the Foxboro Hot Tubs’ “It’s Fuck Time.”

Most of the body of the set was made up of new songs, including “Crushing Bastards,” “Carpe Diem,” and set opener “Nuclear Family,” which the band played twice in a row because (Billy Joe Armstrong’s words) “Fuck it, it’s not a democracy!”
