Jazz Guitarist Matt Warnock Launches Newsletter and Free Ebook

After recently launching his website to wide acclaim in the guitar world, Jazz guitarist and Guitar International editor Matt Warnock will be launching the first edition of his free newsletter on Monday July 11, 2011.

Subscribers will receive weekly editions of the free newsletter, sent out each Monday at noon EST, featuring exclusive guitar lessons that can be found only in the newsletter.

The lessons will focus on helping guitarists from all over the world become better players, and will expose them to the world of jazz guitar at the same time. Some topics that will be covered in the newsletter lessons include:

  • Scales and Modes
  • Chord and Scale Theory
  • Right-hand technique

Currently living in Brazil, where he tours and gives jazz guitar workshops throughout the country, Matt completed his DMA in Jazz Performance at the University of Illinois. He then went on to develop the guitar program at Western Illinois University, which would produce some of the finest young jazz guitarists in the Midwest during his six year tenure as head of the guitar department. He has performed throughout the U.S., Canada, Europe and Brazil, and has shared the stage with some of the biggest names in the genre, including Slide Hampton, Randy Brecker, Stefon Harris and more.
