The 2011 Devonrox festival has been cancelled. According to NME, the festival, which was to take place at Devon, UK’s Powderham Castle on August 6th and 7th, had less-than desirable ticket sales so far, and the financiers backed out.
Organizers of the event, recently published a statement regarding the cancellation on their website: “Sadly following an in depth review of ticket sales to date, the investors behind the festival have decided it is no longer financially viable to continue.”
The lineup of the would-have-been festival included Funeral For A Friend, Jettblack, Heaven’s Basement, and Deborah Bonham. Fans who had already bought tickets to see these artists can get refunds by visiting Devonrox.com.
