Reaching the top of the Modern Rock Charts, “Blurry” would be the single that launched Puddle of Mudd into the national spotlight. Released on their 2001 major label debut, Come Clean, the song is about a break up and the pain that follows, and was inspired by lead singer Wes Scantlin’s relationship with his son and how much he missed him. The song’s main guitar riff was also a huge success for the band, and Guitar One magazine named it as one of the top 10 guitar riffs of the decade.
