Last year in Guitar World magazine, ubershredder Yngwie Malmsteen recalled his journey to America, a country he called “truly the land of opportunity.” He came off the plane with a guitar, an extra pair of pants, and a dream, and since his breakthrough, many other European guitarists came over hoping to follow in his footsteps.

Dweezil Zappa has been rather busy over the past couple of years. I can remember the days as a teenager in the early ‘80’s, sneaking in to the local heavy metal bar The Soap Factory, (what can I say it was an old soap factory), to see Twister Sister back before they had a record deal. For what it’s worth, I never drank once I got in. I was there for the music and for the show. It was a spectacle of epic portions for a large scale club that any 18 year old could have hoped to experience.
