Over the years there have been many guitarists who have helped elevate the instrument from the realm of folk and concert hall music to the stuff of legends that it is today. Players from all genres, jazz, rock, metal, classical, bluegrass etc. have made their mark and because of their distinguished careers and epic contribution to the guitar have earned the designation Guitar Hero.
As a testament to these great players, we’ve put together a series of articles that provide background to these masterful musicians who have transformed our lives and transfixed our ears over the past hundred years.
