London four-piece Lapyear release their debut EP on label Venn Records, “Smile”. The band are noted for having a wide range of influences that they perfectly craft into a unique and exciting sound.

Taking inspiration from earlier grunge, alternative and brit pop artists, this next release also sees incorporation of DIY-emo/punk influences, from the likes of Oso Oso, Balance & Composure, Macseal and more. This cross combination of such vast influences makes for something truly original.

“It really left us speechless. Don’t sleep on this band, this is amazing music with catchy riffs that won’t leave your head for a long time.” Discovered Magazine, Issue #67

“Superbly crafted. Leave it playing in the background of a late summer afternoon, as the warmth starts to fade from the remaining sunshine, and it can be a breezy soundtrack to the lull between blazing sunshine and electric nights.” Turn It Up Louder

The previously released singles from the EP, “Under My Tongue” and “Negative (I Wish I Was)” have already garnered much press and radio, including plays on Triple J, Kerrang! Radio and more.
