“Debra’s compelling voice reminds us of Sheryl Crow & PJ Harvey, but the music is very rock–with her guitar playing reminding us of the incomparable Jimi Hendrix.” – Metal Hammer

DEVI [“Davey”] is a ‘70s-drenched rock band from Jersey City, led by Debra Devi, “a supersonic fret-burner who writes hauntingly memorable songs” [JamBase. She’s a Fender artist, and the first female guitarist to record for Guitar World’s “Lick of the Day” iPhone app.]

Debra Devi is also the author of The Language of the Blues: From Alcorub to Zuzu (foreword by Dr. John), which is blurbed by Bonnie Raitt and Joe Bonamassa and won the ASCAP Deems Taylor Award for Outstanding Book on Popular Music.

Her powerful rock band includes John Hummel [drums], Donovan Cain [bass] and Wayne Dorell [keys].
