Summer NAMM 2010: Orange Amps

British amp makers Orange showcased their newer and classic models in an impressive and towering display. While the company’s signature orange colored amps are easy enough to recognize from across a crowded room, the fact that they were stacked three and four high made the Orange booth one of the brightest and most noticeable at the conference. Going beyond the visual aspect of the display, the sounds that were emminating from the Orange booth exerted the classic tone they’ve become known for, including their distinctive approach to reverb.

Though Orange didn’t unveil any new products at Summer NAMM, they did bring along several newer models that were first made public at the NAMM show in January of 2010. Among these releases, which is described in detail in the video below, is the Rockerverb Head. Based on the company’s previous model, the new Rockerverb head features an improved reverb control and effects loop. After speaking with previous users the company decided to make these changes, displaying their devotion to listening and responding to the needs and complaints of their customers.
