Morning broke early at Sweetwater where the gear company’s GearFest 2015 kicked off with a long line at the main door. Hundreds of visitors will enjoy new and innovative music equipment for about 400 vendors.

As the sun began to set, we walked through the back lot of Sweetwater to get a glimpse of what’s on-hand for tomorrow’s GearFest 2015, where thousands of musicians and music enthusiasts will converge to indulge themselves with a look at some of the world’s finest guitars, amplifiers, recording gear, drums, audio electronics, keyboards, special effects pedals, educational seminars, as they tour the Sweetwater campus.

Julien’s Auctions, the world’s premier entertainment and music memorabilia auction house announced the upcoming sale of the most historically important guitar associated with The Beatles ever to be offered – John Lennon’s original 1962 J-160E Gibson Acoustic guitar. The guitar has been lost for over 50 years and represents a rare and significant guitar to John Lennon’s history.
