Today Fender announces the release of the George Harrison “Rocky” Stratocaster, the newest addition to the Fender Artist Signature line! The singer-songwriter and lead guitarist for the Beatles played a variety of iconic guitars throughout his career, but the most visually distinctive was his 1961 Sonic Blue Stratocaster, hand-painted in psychedelic Day-Glo colors and affectionately named “Rocky.”

“In early summer of 1968, I was asked to come to take photos of Bob Dylan at his home in Woodstock, for the cover of the Saturday Evening Post. Although he was comfortable with me, he seemed nervous in front of the camera and his uneasiness made it difficult for me. I was never the kind of photographer to talk people into feeling good: I let them be the way they were, and I photographed. Usually it worked out because I flowed with whatever mood they were in, without resistance, until things lightened up.
