Whitesnake have just released their 12th studio album, The Purple Album, which is a re-imagination of classic songs during David Coverdale’s time as lead singer for Deep Purple’s Mark 3 and Mark 4 studio albums. Turns out it was David’s wife, Cindy, who suggested he create this CD celebrating his legacy with Deep Purple.

As bassist and vocalist for the Moody Blues since 1966 John Lodge has written some of the most memorable songs for the band, such as “Natural Hour,” “Ride my See Saw,” “The Eyes of a Child,” and “I’m Just a Singer [In a Rock n Roll Band]”, to name a few.

The Darkness is set to release their fourth CD, Last Of Our Kind on June 1st. Anticipation for this long awaited CD is building, fans expect the band will be getting back to their true form with a heavier, edgier, and nastier sounding CD than their 2012 release, Hot Cakes, which portrayed a softer side to the band.

Maryland rockers, Clutch, is one of the most respected and influential hard rock bands out there. They are currently gearing up for a tour this April with Mastodon called The Missing Link Tour and then plan to release their 11th studio CD in September of 2015 on their own record label – Weathermaker.

The Wombats are gearing up for the release of their third CD, Glitterbug, on April 13th. Hailing from the UK the band have scored an unprecedented number of radio hits with their 2011 release, This Modern Glitch, which debuted at #3 in the U.K.. That CD was also the band’s biggest international album in its career.

Iconic vocalist and guitarist Michael Sweet of Stryper and guitar hero George Lynch of Lynch Mob and Dokken have joined forces to form the new supergroup Sweet & Lynch. Joining them on bass are James Lomenzo and Brian Tichy on drums.
