I can remember the days as a teenager in the early ‘80’s, sneaking in to the local heavy metal bar The Soap Factory, (what can I say it was an old soap factory), to see Twister Sister back before they had a record deal. For what it’s worth, I never drank once I got in. I was there for the music and for the show. It was a spectacle of epic portions for a large scale club that any 18 year old could have hoped to experience.

Four-time Grammy nominees Queensryche have signed a multi-album, worldwide deal with Roadrunner/Loud & Proud Records. The band’s label debut –their twelfth studio album overall- is tentatively scheduled for a Spring 2011 release. It wasn’t until I went to secondary school in 1992 that I found out about Guns n’ Roses. Nearly everyone one in my school listened to it. They were huge. It is also the first time I heard Slash. I wouldn’t pick up the guitar for another two years but already his lead playing captivated me.
