Since 2007, Paul Reed Smith Guitars has hosted the Experience PRS trade show, complete with their latest guitar models and more recently their line-up of high quality amps. Under the big tent, in office spaces and over cups of coffee, deals are made between the company and its dealers and distributors.

Heavy metal was alive and well at BB King’s night club in the heart of New York’s Times Square on Friday night, where veterans rockers Saxon, put on an explosive show. Back in the ‘80s, when the New Wave of British Heavy Metal was a musical force not to be reckoned with; you would be taking your life in your hands walking down 42nd Street, as it was lined with head shops, porn theaters, and drug dealers.

When home recording is mentioned in conversations between musicians, microphones, mixers, Macs, tons of cables and complicated software often come to mind. All of these items are expensive and time consuming to set up for the guitarist who just wants to plug in and play without any hassle, so I was excited to be able to try a product that would make this long process simpler.

Legendary rock trio Rush have unveiled details for their first new recording since being inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame earlier this year. “RUSH: CLOCKWORK ANGELS TOUR” will be released via Anthem/Roadrunner Records on November 19th. Anthem/Zoe Vision/Rounder will simultaneously release the companion DVD.
