This is a continuation of a previously published article, which consisted of a Concert Review of Juan Martín’s performance at the Leeds Flamenco Festival (2014) and the first half of this interview. Here, Juan continues speaking (among other things) about flamenco and fusion, his experience performing with Miles Davis, his experiences on the UK flamenco scene, and his course in Ronda.

Having initially learnt to play the guitar from the late great Paco de Lucía, Juan has since gone on to have an astounding performance career, playing in many of the world’s most prestigious performance auditoriums.

California based rockers, Tesla, just back from performing some of the biggest rock festivals in Europe, returned to the states to play at Irving Plaza in New York on June 18th to a packed house. This tour comes on the heels of their long awaited new studio CD, Simplicity.

The primordial approach and inescapable influence of southern rock band, Little Feat. has recently been released in the form of the band’s new live album, Live in Holland 1976, comprised of previously unreleased classic recordings.

Guitar extraordinaire, Eric Johnson, will be releasing a collection of 14 live tracks recorded in Europe, simply entitled, Europe Live, on June 24th. Along with his collection of his classic songs, Eric incorporated two new tracks for his fans, “Intro”, a song that opens the set, and an encore rock and roll jam inspired by boating and water skiing called, “Evinrude Fever”.

Kobra And The Lotus will be opening for the legendary bands KISS and Def Leppard this summer’s North American tour. To support the tour they will be releasing their second CD, High Priestess, due out on June 24th.
