Today Fender announces the release of the George Harrison “Rocky” Stratocaster, the newest addition to the Fender Artist Signature line! The singer-songwriter and lead guitarist for the Beatles played a variety of iconic guitars throughout his career, but the most visually distinctive was his 1961 Sonic Blue Stratocaster, hand-painted in psychedelic Day-Glo colors and affectionately named “Rocky.”

Last night at Alexandria, Virginia’s legendary Birchmere Music Hall, Steve Earle and The Dukes rolled out an evening of country roots tangled with an eclectic mix of songs welded together by Earle’s vocals immersed in grit, beautifully crafted songwriting, and his amazing band whose melodic twists and turns, and hot licks “could suck the chrome off a trailer hitch”, in the purloined words of Willie Nelson.

Music Rising, the charitable organization created after the devastation of Hurricane Katrina in 2005 by U2’s The Edge, legendary producer Bob Ezrin and a host of musical instrument industry partners has awarded grant relief to 1,474 musicians and industry workers who struggled financially due to the pandemic and after Hurricane Ida.
