Incubus Stellar

Featured on Incubus’ landmark album Make Yourself, “Stellar” has become a favorite songs among fans and guitarists alike. The song was featured on the original Guitar Hero, Guitar Hero II and Guitar Hero Smash Hits, a testament to its longevity, popularity and appeal to guitarists of all levels and tastes.

The opening riff features a unique vibrato that will take some getting used to, but once under your fingers this nifty little lick will sound great and be a cool addition to your technical bag o’ tricks. As well, throughout the song guitarist Mike Einzinger mixes single-note riffs alongside chordal material, providing an extra level of interest in the song, as well as a bit of a challenge for guitarists learning the tune.

Don’t let this deter you in any way, in fact it should provide that much more inspiration for learning the song, as you will not only add a new song to your set list, but also develop your technique at the same time.

Einzinger has become known for his highly personalized approach to chords and lines, but he has also developed a signature sound that makes his playing instantly recognizable.
