Ralf Krebs is based in Berlin, Germany. He began his musical career by studying Latin percussion and drumming. Krebs then studied Jazz Composition at Berklee College of Music in Boston, and guitar at UdK-Berlin, Germany. He currently teaches guitar at the Berliner Musikschule Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf. His performance schedule includes theatre, studio and concert work.

Krebs plays classical and electric guitar, pandeiro, bongos and percussion. He is joined by Georg Conrads (Violin and Viola) on one track.
“Raymond Bossa” starts the music off in the Brazilian mode. The opening statement is reminiscent of A. C. Jobim’s “Triste” and then moves into a solid original melody. “Muerte Del Angel” is a Bachish theme that maintains a classical feel throughout. Other compositions include “Milonga Del Angel,” “Estrellas,” “Club Sophie” and “Abandoned.” The Chuck Mangione classic tune “Feels So Good” receives an interesting Latin treatment.
The Internet, and the ability to self produce, allows lesser known artists the chance to be heard. Ralf Krebs is a competent player and a gifted writer. His nylon string guitar work is solid, and his original music is thoughtful and well presented. I would not describe this CD as a jazz recording, but it is definitely a pleasure to listen to and has a relaxed feel to it – good for a rainy day when you want to retreat into your own thoughts.
