Vendredi sur Mer
Today, Vendredi sur Mer shares her new track “Arrêter le temps” featuring the pianist/composer Sofiane Pamart, taken from her upcoming album Malabar Princess, which is set to come out on April 25th.
Vendredi sur Mer will be supporting on stage during her international tour starting in May 2025 – you can find more information below.
“Arrêter le temps” shows Vendredi sur Mer and the renowned French pianist/composer Sofiane Pamart bringing a touch of emotion, making this piano-voice duet a breath of fresh air on the album. Blending touching lyrics and a melancholic instrumental in perfect harmony, the track feels like an open letter, destined to resonate deeply with every listener.
Last month, she released the title track “Malabar Princess”, which sounds like a nostalgic ode to her native Switzerland and the Swiss Alps in particular.
Malabar Princess marks a return to the softness and nostalgia of her early work, following a more combative phase. Born from a writing residency in Montréal, the album reflects her return to the mountains and a search for self. Sam Tiba and new collaborators Adrien Gallo and Owlle helped guide this evolution toward more organic, intimate sounds. Malabar Princess is a sincere, poetic album where the artist fully reveals herself, blending desire and truth.
“Malabar Princess” follows “Hard” (feat. Hanni El Khatib) and “Tout résonne,” which are included in the upcoming album! Vendredi sur Mer will be supporting on stage during her international tour starting in May 2025 – you can find more information below.

With her third album, Malabar Princess, she returns to her roots and draws inspiration from the landscapes of her childhood in the Swiss mountains. After starting her artistic journey in photography, Charline Mignot (her real name) transitioned to music, creating Vendredi sur Mer, a persona that led to her debut album Premiers émois (2019) and the darker Métamorphose (2022).
Vendredi sur Mer announced her 2025 European tour dates in mid-December. A second leg for the European tour was added in 🇳🇱 Utrecht, 🇳🇴 Oslo, 🇩🇰 Copenhagen and 🇸🇪 Stockholm.
ABOUT VENDREDI SUR MER
Vendredi sur Mer (Charline Mignot) is a Swiss singer-songwriter and photographer known for her dreamy, synth-pop sounds and poetic lyrics. Her music combines lush, retro-styled beats with a distinctly French pop energy, often delving into themes of romance, sensuality, and introspection. With her signature soft, sultry vocals and a recognisable cinematic feel, tracks like “Écoute Chérie”, “La femme à la peau bleue”, and “Les filles désirs” have captured fans worldwide and turned her into a viral sensation.
Inspired by the elegance of French chanson and the audacity of 80’s pop, she has carved out a distinct space in contemporary French pop, balancing nostalgia with modern edge. Her music, often accompanied by mesmerising visuals, has positioned her as a sensation in the indie music scene.
ABOUT SOFIANE PAMART
Sofiane Pamart is a French pianist & composer who began his career at a young age. He released his first solo album in 2019 but quickly turned toward collaborations, particularly within the French rap scene. By working with renowned rappers, Pamart has successfully associated his name with numerous French hits, consistently showcasing his ability to bring a unique and personal touch to every track he contributes to.

In 2024, he further solidified his global reputation by becoming one of the three most-streamed classical artists worldwide. That same year, he was selected to perform at the Opening Ceremony of the 2024 Summer Olympic Games in Paris, delivering a breathtaking performance in the middle of the Seine, playing a piano set ablaze while accompanying Juliette Armanet on John Lennon’s iconic “Imagine”. – you can watch the video HERE.
