Award winning Canadian Indie artist, Lyric Dubee, is coming back to celebrate his recent accomplishment of International Entertainer of the Year at the ISSA (International Singer Songwriter Association) Awards which took place on August 3, in Atlanta, Georgia.
Lyric will return on August 23 from a 4 month music residency in Bermuda to perform at the Georgian Triangle Music Festival in Wasaga Beach, August 24 at 3 pm to perform songs from his newest album, All This Time, which was released in late April.
At 21, Lyric is no stranger to international performances, with 4 albums released before he was 18. In 2015 he toured Asia with a double album release and is scheduled to head back to China Sept 21 to perform at the Nanyang Music Festival.
Barrie native, Lyric started his career in 2011 at age 12 when he released his first album and the signs were clear he had something special as he won Best Young Songwriter at the Barrie New Music Festival. Since then he has gone on to win multiple awards, including 2015 Toronto Independent Music Awards for the Best Young Songwriter and now in 2019 International Entertainer of the Year.
Ernie Ball endorsed artist, Lyric, was scheduled to return home for his Saturday performance at Roxodus sharing the stage with Kid Rock, Peter Frampton, and Alice Cooper in July, but after the festival’s last minute cancellation, he remained in Bermuda. Lyric is offering a private meet and greet at his next show in Wasaga, along with a special discount on his new line of merchandise for any fans who bought Roxodus tickets.
Lyric is concerned with the plight of our environment and released his newest CD without the traditional plastic cd cases and instead decided to have the cases made out of recycled material to reduce waste that would end up at landfills. Editor’s Note: Lyric Dubee just informed Guitar International that he had been signed to the Mascot Label group for two years, but departed in the Spring of 2018, then released his first single that May. Since that time he has released five singles and his 5th album. Later in 2019, he plans on releasing three more singles and is now writing more material.
