PRS Guitars was up early to make sure all was in fine order for the expected 3,000 visitors who registered to attend Experience PRS 2013.
With a cup of Joe and a bevy of vintage PRS guitars staged in the press room, members of the media got double-dose adrenaline rush, as they pulled out their paper and pens; iPhones and cameras.
All focused on covering the latest and best of what the Paul Reed Smith guitar company was promoting to the Experience crowd.
Jack Higgenbotham, President, PRS Guitars welcomed all to the event while highlighting the company’s new guitars and amps. S-2 seemed to be the name of the day on this fine morning, along with a look at an SE Angelus acoustic.
Jack noted that it took an enormous amount of effort and collaboration to develop the new S-2 line. The framework in which the S-2 group was developed was based on reducing production time by one-third and reducing the final product cost by a third.
The end result was a faster production time, contained costs and a guitar that held fast and true to the spirit and high quality standards of PRS Guitars.
A few PRS players demonstrated the guitars, including Dave Grissom, Davy Knowles, Mike Ault, Emil Werstler and Pat Wescott.
But, it’s early and words don’t come so fast as images of highly polished guitars, new 30 and 50 watt amps, and a cohort of PRS endorsees to show their stuff on the newest PRS gear.
