Since 2007, Paul Reed Smith Guitars has hosted the Experience PRS trade show, complete with their latest guitar models and more recently their line up of high quality amps.
Under the big tent, in office spaces and over cups of coffee, deals are made between the company and its dealers and distributors. Guests on board come from around the world, including Japan, Australia, Europe and the U.S. And they all have one thing in common – they’re fans of PRS Guitars.
Walking around the PRS grounds it’s not uncommon to bump into Paul Reed Smith or any number of guest artists, like Martin Simpson and the Dave Grissom Band.
But, it’s the look, feel and sound of PRS guitars and amps that draw this 3,000 strong crowd to Stevensville, Maryland each year. We’re looking forward to test drive some of them, get some photos for our readers and maybe stop by Paul’s office for a quick chat about how PRS Guitars keeps succeeding.
On stage this Thursday night were Simpson and Grissom and they wowed the PRS crowd with a sparkling performance by Simpson and a full throttle set of rock from Dave Grissom and crew.
We were hoping to see Tony McManus offer up some tunes from his new Mysterious Boundaries album, but we got word from Tony earlier in the day that he was Europe-bound to show his stuff to our friends across the Atlantic. He’ll be missed, but for now here’s a track from his new CD, where he’s playing his new PRS Tony McManus Signature acoustic…and it’s sweet!
