A dampening shadow is cast over the valley. You break into a fast run, but the metallic beast is faster than anything you’ve ever seen, as you’re pursued by the new release by the legendary Judas Priest.
As you frantically glance back to the sky above you, it’s ear piercing cry leaves you paralyzed in fear. You know it can only be one thing: The Hellion.
Screaming For Vengeance is one of heavy metal’s most iconic and well known albums, and for a very good reason. Make that many good reasons.
Screaming For Vengeance is, simply put, a consistently thrilling album that harnesses a madman’s combination of pure road rage power and in-your-face awesomeness that roars with the essence of the metal gods!
With all of it’s supercharged power and greatness this album boasts from start to finish, it’s almost insane to realize that it has been 30 years since Judas Priest first gave the rock and roll world this classic speaker blaster.
In honor of this grand occasion, the legendary members of Judas Priest have a new release from their top secret vault.
Headbangers around the world rejoice and behold, the Screaming For Vengeance: Special 30th Anniversary Edition!
Sure, it has a catchy title, but the contents prove to be even more valuable; even more so than the album’s redesigned commemorative album cover.
First off, the entire original album has been gloriously restored, which provides this new release with a noticeably clearer and louder volume and tone.
We also have four never-before-heard live tracks from one of Judas Priest’s concerts during their 1982 Screaming For Vengeance Tour, as well as a live rendition of “Devil’s Child” and the rarity, “Prisoner Of Your Eyes”.
Although the bonus tracks are very cool, is that honestly enough to make you run out and purchase this set? If you think not, the boys of Judas Priest are already way ahead of you.
This 30th Anniversary Edition proudly includes a copy of the band’s historic performance at the 1983 US Festival, which has never before been placed on a DVD!
The dynamite lineup of Judas Priest don their leather, spikes and spandex and give an incredibly enjoyable show to a massive crowd of adoring metal heads, whose excitement level is nearly as high as Rob Halford’s glass shattering battle screams.
This concert’s audio and video have been given a few noteworthy restoration touches, but for the most part remain unscathed as to keep it’s vintage style qualities.
Take this fantastic DVD addition, along with some previously unreleased photos and a foreword note from Eddie Trunk, and you have an over-the-top Judas Priest set that should make any rock and roller’s library standout.
