The amp guys over at Fender are proudly introducing the brand new Machete combo amp at NAMM 2012 (exclusive pics below). With tremendous versatility and performance-oriented features, the Machete is a high-end, sonically powerful combo and is designed to be an essential companion for the discerning musician.
The 50-watt, dual-channel Machete combo has a completely new Fender-designed high-gain channel, a bell-like clear-sounding clean channel that begs to be pushed into aggressive rhythm guitar territory, and built-in digital reverb. Its rugged enclosure construction and single 12” Celestion® speaker deliver a rich, yet pummeling response, with adjustable speaker damping for finely tuned performance, midrange notch control, XLR output with switchable speaker muting and cabinet emulation, and push-pull pots for bright/gain boost on the rhythm channel.
Serious guitarists and amp connoisseurs will find the Machete a formidable new member of their arsenal, living up to their meticulous standards. The combo’s distinctive cosmetics, which include vinyl covering with inlaid white piping and gray vinyl “steering wheel grip” accents, new Black Silver Strand grille cloth, heavily knurled chrome knobs and all-new corners and hardware make the Machete hard to miss on stage. Included are a four-button footswitch and fitted cover.
