NAMM 2012: Brand New Jim Root and Avril Lavigne Squier Telecasters

Squier is introducing three new artist signature models at NAMM 2012, the Avril Lavigne Telecaster®, the Jim Root Telecaster® and the Mikey Way Mustang® Bass. These three signature models promise star-like vibe and tone at the expected incredible Squier value.

The new striking, black-on-black Avril Lavigne Telecaster joins Lavigne’s popular signature Fender Tele and features several impressive touches, including a three-ply pickguard, a black headstock with die-cast turners, knurled black flat-top volume control knob, and a distinctive skull and crossbones logo at the 12th-fret.

Designed in collaboration with Slipknot/Stone Sour guitar speed demon Jim Root, the Jim Root Telecaster boasts several foreboding features, most notably a satin-matte finish in black or white, two powerful-sounding passive humbucking pickups, a simple, straightforward single-knob/single switch control layout, black die-cast tuners, and other black hardware.

The Mikey Way Mustang Bass was designed with the input of My Chemical Romance bassist Mikey Way. This new signature bass takes the classic Mustang Bass and amps it through the roof with a dazzling large-flake Silver Sparkle finish with black racing stripes, a single humbucking pickup with a black cover, and a black headstock with Way’s signature on the back.
