Experience PRS 2011: First Day Traction with World Class Acts

By Staff:

It’s a hot September night near the banks of the Chesapeake Bay in Stevensville, Maryland, home of Paul Reed Smith Guitars that launched their 5th year of Experience PRS with some fancy bluegrass licks by mandolin aficionado Ricky Skaggs and the staggering guitar master, Cody Kilby. We’ve been coming to Experience PRS trade shows since they started in 2007 and the PRS family of dealers, distributors, employees, endorsees and birds and moons enthusiasts have never been let down.

PRS has the drawing power to pull in world-class performers. Those that have graced the Experience PRS stage have included Al DiMeola, Carlos Santana, Buddy Guy, Tony McManus, Orianthi, Davey Knowles, Mark Tremonti, Martin Simpson, Opeth and Dweezil Zappa. And it’s not an unusual occurrence to bump into these artists while finding your way through the crowd and striking up a one-on-one conversation about our shared passion – guitars – and specifically for this event, Paul Reed Smith Guitars. Of course, the discussions have also included talk about the launch of PRS amps and the series of Signature guitars that have emerged over the years. And this year, it’s no different. But, it’s late and we’ll get to the new stuff that Paul and crew are unveiling in the days ahead.

For now, let’s check out Skaggs and Kilby and some of the other artists that showed up tonight at PRS to delight and entertain the crowd.
