Papa Roach Last Resort
Reaching the top of the Modern Rock Charts, “Last Resort” was a huge success for California rock band Papa Roach. The song’s video showed a group of young fans watching the band play, then the camera shows how each person in the crowd is depressed, though they don’t look like it on the outside. The theme of teenagers dealing with depression and related issues was a staple of Papa Roach’s early sound, and continues to be found to certain degrees in their newer work. Though the song is serious in nature, it was covered by Weird Al on his album Poodle Hat.
